How to Color Halloween Pumpkin Coloring Pages in Amazing Ways
These pumpkin coloring sheets make cute Halloween decorations too! Use what you’ve got laying around your craft drawer; these DIY pumpkin coloring page crafts use crayons, pencils, scraps of paper and more.
Here are 3 ways to transform these printable pumpkins into cute decorations for Halloween 👻🎃.
1. Give Your Pumpkin a Glowing Face
Color the eyes and mouth yellow for an even glowier look. Then, shade the rest of the pumpkin orange, applying heavier strokes on the curves and under the costume. Leaving some patches of white helps create the illusion of light spilling out from all those features.
2. Dress Up the Costumes
You can choose from several pumpkins wearing either a vampire cape or bat costume. Color the costume using purple and black colors while keeping some white lines to represent the fabric folds.
The mummy costume would be very fun if your kids use the same idea of putting on cream-colored bandages and using some light gray color for their shadow parts! Finally, stick the drawing on a piece of construction paper once done and have a great Halloween party!
3. Build a Haunted Background
If you have a pumpkin next to a haunted doorbell or inside a scary mirror to use for this craft, start with that pumpkin first. You’ll want to color the main subject before decorating its surroundings.
Try drawing crooked floorboards or driftin’ ghosts around your creation. If you’re using your dark blue colored pencils, they create nice nighttime background without obscuring the printed outlines.
After finishing up on your artwork, try placing some tiny yellow windows around the edges. Once you’ve finished, put your Halloween pumpkin art somewhere where people can see!
