If you’re looking to bring some clown color to your life, these clown coloring pages are a perfect way to spend an afternoon!
The first thing we think of when we hear “clown” is colorful clothes (hello oversized shoes), silly faces, and the thought of someone putting their face inside a blow-up clown nose. That being said, clowns also have a very creepy side,so why not make this fun by using colorful crayons or colored pencils?
We love that there’s both performer types such as jugglers, unicyclists, balloon artists, etc., and some spooky ones hiding behind curtains too! So if you want some friendly clown coloring sheets or some spookier ones with cracked masks and raggedy costumes, check them out below.

While a pumpkin nose will need a dash of orange, there’s no rule about how to dress up these clowns. If you’re feeling particularly creative, go ahead and throw some stripes across their ruffled collars or paint them with lots of dots across a bow tie. You could even play with color combinations to create some mysterious masks!
How to Color Clown Pages Out of the Box
Use your completed clown coloring sheets to create fun little circus props with some basic items you likely already have.
Try out one (or all) of these simple craft projects right at home or even around your classroom!
1. A Circus Stage in a Shoebox
Color your costume, either the unicycle rider or the pumpkin juggler, and cut out the figure, leaving a little piece of paper hanging underneath the shoes that you can fold back on itself.
Glue this piece inside the shoebox and create some scrap paper curtains on the sides to make a mini circus stage!
2. A Clown Collar with Paper Ruffles
Color your clown’s face using pencils. Fold narrow strips of tissue paper back and forth for little ruffles on her collar. Glue them beneath the chin (leaving the face unglued). You’ll get a lovely effect if you do a moon-shaped collar with blue and silver paper. (This would look even better against a dark background.)
3. A Mix-and-Match Costume Game
Print off 2 clown coloring pictures that you want your kids to color up. Mount them onto some thin cardboard and cut them into 3 horizontal parts (heads, middles, shoes). Then you can mix up all these bits by swapping around their faces, bodies and feet, creating ridiculous combinations! You can keep your bits in an envelope ready for next time!
