Get a little Halloween fun into your afternoon with our free ghost coloring pages! Your little ones will have plenty of things to color when they see all the different kinds of ghosts. Some are curled up inside their favorite slippers, some are sneaking cookies out of cookie jars, and there are even a couple that seem determined to float right through a bookshelf!
There are also some pretty scary ghosts on these printable sheets too. One cute little guy seems ready to pop out of his teacup. Wouldn’t that be a great way to spend a chilly evening? We’re getting creepy vibes from this one! 😊
Free Printable Ghost Coloring Pages
Our collection of free printable ghost coloring pages will be available in PDF format and is sized for US letter paper (8.5 by 11 inches).
Choose one of our designs that you’d love most and click on each image to download a copy to print right away! You could do this spooky activity as part of a Halloween party or school project.
If your little ones are still young and haven’t started learning about different colors, crayons would be perfect to use. Otherwise, maybe get out some colored pencils if they want to give extra details on the objects in front of the antique mirror, the floating cradle, and haunted dollhouse!
We recommend keeping their ghost white, though, but adding some soft blue shades for shadows along with a colorful background will make it all pop up!
Our Favorite Ways to Color a Ghost
Once kids have finished up those awesome ghost coloring sheets, you’ve got tons of options to create some Halloween decorations, or maybe even stuff that your kids will actually use! Here are 3 fun crafts using ghost coloring pages that only require a few simple supplies (and your help when the outline gets tricky!).
1. Haunted Bookmarks
First choose the spirit you see slipping through the shelves (or maybe let the kids color one themselves). Cut a tall rectangle around this figure and glue the whole thing onto some card stock.
Add a nice purple border for a finishing touch on this ghostly bookmark. Once that’s done, punch a hole near the top, put ribbon through… and then leave yourself an extra piece to peek out of your favorite bedtime read.
2. Teacup Greeting Cards
First print this small little ghost that’s nestled within his tea cup using the smaller sizing option available to you. Then allow your kiddos to go wild decorating their own “tea cups” (with stripes, dots, or maybe even some mini pumpkins!).
Fold your cardstock in half and glue the color picture on the outside of it. On the inside have your child write a Halloween note to someone who likes a little scare now-and-then… perhaps adding a couple cookies as shown?
3. Hanging Ghost Decorations
You can also color your friends’ ghosts (and cut out around the outline) and then glue them on thin cardboard for simple paper decorations. After trimming off any excesses tape up string on the backs of the ghosts and hang all at different heights. You can see the “ghost trying roller skates” hanging above the floor.
Make sure to have some crayons on hand, and have fun coloring your own version of these printable ghost coloring pages!
