7 Creative Crafts You Can Make With Ramadan Coloring Pages
Do you have a stack of beautifully Ramadan colored pages and wonder what to do next? Instead of just sticking them on the fridge, why not turn them into something new and exciting? Here are some fun and creative ways you can give those finished artworks a second life and create some lovely Ramadan decorations and gifts.
1. Ramadan Greeting Cards
Turning a Ramadan coloring page into a greeting card is a thoughtful way to share good wishes. Simply fold a piece of cardstock in half to create your card base.
Then, have your child color their favorite Ramadan design. Carefully cut out the finished artwork and glue it onto the front of the card. It becomes a beautiful, handmade card to give to family and friends for Ramadan or Eid. What a personal touch!
2. Festive Bunting
Making a decorative bunting is a fantastic way to brighten up your home for Ramadan. First, print out several coloring pages—designs like lanterns, moons, and stars work wonderfully for this.
Once they are all colored in, carefully cut out the individual shapes. Then, you can punch a hole in the top of each one and thread them onto a long piece of ribbon or string. You’ll have a festive garland to hang on a wall or across a doorway in no time.
3. Gift Tags for Eid al-Fitr
Get a head start on your Eid preparations by creating custom gift tags. Choose smaller designs or shrink the pages before printing. After the pictures are colored in, cut them out neatly.
You can write “To:” and “From:” on the back of each one. Punch a small hole at the top and loop a pretty ribbon through it. These little tags add a personal and heartfelt touch to any Eid gift, making it even more special for the person receiving it.
4. Decorative Lanterns
This is a really fun one! Take a finished Ramadan coloring page and fold it in half lengthwise. Make a series of cuts from the folded edge toward the open edge, stopping about an inch from the top.
Unfold the paper, and you’ll see the slits you’ve made. Now, roll the paper into a cylinder shape and glue or staple the ends together. You can add a strip of paper at the top to create a handle. These paper lanterns look so lovely as decorations.
5. Bookmarks for Quran Reading
Encourage reading during Ramadan with a handmade bookmark. Have your kids color one of the taller, thinner designs or a character they really like from a page.
Once it’s colored, cut the design out. For extra durability, you can glue it onto a piece of cardstock or even laminate it if you have a laminator at home. Punch a hole at the top and add a tassel made of yarn for a finishing touch. It’s a great little tool for their daily Quran reading.
6. Iftar Menu Holders
This is a clever way to decorate the Iftar table. Color and cut out some of the figures from the coloring pages, leaving a small, flat base at the bottom of each one.
Fold the base back so the character can stand up. You can then write or print out your Iftar menu on small cards and place them in front of these colorful stands. It adds a festive and personal element to your family meals together.
7. Wall Art
Sometimes the simplest idea is the best. A beautifully colored page can become a wonderful piece of art for your home. It’s exactly what these pages were made for, after all!
After your child has finished their masterpiece, you can mount it onto a slightly larger piece of colored construction paper to create a frame. It makes the artwork pop and gives it a more finished look. Then, you can proudly display it on a wall to celebrate their creativity during the holy month.
We hope you enjoy this collection of Ramadan coloring pages and have a wonderful time getting creative with them!
