7 Fun November Ideas You Can Make With Crayons
1. Leaf Rubbings
Place a leaf under a paper, hold it flat, and rub the side of a crayon across the top. The veins pop like magic! After that, use warm colors for a cozy fall look, and don’t forget to frame the best one for the fridge.
2. Pumpkin Patch Collage
Draw a bunch of pumpkins in different sizes, color them in, and cut them out. Glue them on a fresh sheet to build a little patch (add stems and simple faces if you want a playful vibe).
3. Turkey Place Cards
You can fold small rectangles of cardstock and draw a quick turkey on the front (especially a live turkey, as we’re animal lovers). Then color the feathers with bold crayon stripes and write names inside. Now that’s an instant Thanksgiving table charm.
4. Sweater Pattern Art
Sketch a sweater outline and fill it with crayon patterns—stripes, dots, zigzags, you name it. Then press hard for solid color, and soften the edges with gentle shading. This will look warm enough to wear.
5. Hot Cocoa Steam Lines
Draw a mug and color it rich and cozy. Then add soft, wavy steam lines with a light gray crayon. Finally, put a tiny marshmallow doodle to seal the deal. Simple and cute.
6. Acorn and Oak Garland
Draw acorns and leaves, color them in, and cut them out. Next, punch a small hole at the top and string them on twine. You just made a sweet mantle or doorway garland!
7. Sunset Thank-You Cards
Blend orange, red, and purple across the top half of a card. If you want a smooth sky, keep your strokes in one direction only. Finally, add a quick “Thank you” inside. Who needs store-bought?
