5 Fun Crafts to Use March Madness Coloring Pages
When the coloring is done, the pages still have plenty of life left in them. Grab scissors, glue, and a bit of tape, and turn the finished artwork into something we can actually use or show off.
1. Bracket Wall Banner
Pick a few finished March Madness coloring pages and trim them into neat rectangles. It helps if they share the same vibe, like trophies, courts, and big plays, so the banner looks like one set.
Use string or ribbon and tape the pages along the back edge, spacing them out like flags. Hang it near the TV or over a desk, and it instantly feels like game week.
If you want it sturdier, glue each page onto card stock first. The thicker backing stops curling, and it survives excited hands during close games.
2. Game-Day Door Hanger
Choose one page with a bold central image, like a basketball ball going through the hoop or a cheering crowd. Cut out a large tag shape and punch a hole at the top.
Add a simple message on a strip of paper, like “Bracket Time” or “Watching the Game,” then glue it on. A little glitter glue on the letters feels fun without going overboard.
Tape a loop of yarn through the hole and hang it on a door knob. It works great for bedrooms, classrooms, or a party space on tournament night.
3. Mini Trophy Centerpieces
Print a trophy page twice, color both, and cut the trophy shapes out. Fold a small tab at the bottom of each cutout so they can stand up.
Glue the two trophies back-to-back, with a popsicle stick or straw inside for support. Set them in cups, jars, or small bowls with shredded paper.
Place them on a snack table and they look like instant decorations. You can even write “Champion” and the year on the base for a nice little touch.
4. Basketball Trading Cards
Cut out strong elements from different March Madness coloring pages, like sneakers, jerseys, mascots, or a scoreboard. Glue each cutout onto a small rectangle of cardstock.
On the back, write a “player stat” style line, like “Speed: 9/10” or “Clutch: 10/10.” Kids usually laugh at these, and adults somehow take them seriously.
Laminate them if possible, or cover them with clear tape for a quick seal. Then you can trade them, stack them, or use them as little prizes.
5. March Madness Gift Tags
Pick a page with lots of small items, like a basketball ball, a ring, or a jersey. Color it, then cut out tag shapes around the best parts of the design.
Punch a hole in each tag and thread string through. Write “To” and “From” on the back, or add names on the front if there is space.
These look perfect on small gifts, goodie bags, or even snack boxes for a watch party. It feels personal, and it takes almost no extra effort.
Have fun, and keep a few March Madness coloring pages saved for the next round of tournament chaos!
